Now that the Valentine Day parties are over its a great time to start preparing for the next big holiday, Saint Patrick's Day. To help you out I've created 3 new file folder games for Kindergarten. Stay tuned for 1st and 2nd grade games as well. ![]() In these games students get to play the part of a leprechaun and try to hide pots of gold from their opponent. The gold is hidden under rainbows which each have a target sight word that kindergarteners need to practice. ![]() The three different games cover sight words, color words, and number words. 2012 has started and being full of goals and ideas I've just created my first new product of the year. It's going to be the start of a series of counting games. These games will use kids favorite food to help them learn to count. First off is the old classic of macaroni and cheese. ![]() In this game kids will count out all of the ingredients they need by placing them on the counter. ![]() There will be two types of counting boards that they will be able to use. This one will help students with there number recognition skills. ![]() This one can be used for students who already recognize numbers but skill need practice counting. ![]() There are five different recipe cards that you kids can use to practice counting. I've also included the links to the actual recipes. For those of you who homeschool this will be a great way to help you kids make real life math connections. For teachers - you can always send the recipes home. Like always the first few days after this product is released it will be available as a free download. Happy New Year! As students come back from their winter break a great seasonal activity for them to do is to write their new years resolutions. This is a great opportunity to help student learn how to make and reach their goals. As a new years present for everyone I've created a New Years Resolution worksheet. ![]() For this activity, students will: 1. Choose a goal. 2. Make sure that their goal is achievable. 3. Plan how to achieve their goal. 4. Determine what their motivation is for completing their goal. 5. and set a time that they will finish the goal by.
