So I went to church yesterday, and surprise, I'm now the choir director. Now, I've sung in choirs many times but this is going to be a first. So I've been planning the first practice and have created a handout to use. I thought that I would share it so that all of you music teachers might be able to use it. This handout is a basic, what you should do before you even sing a note. And if any of you music teachers have any ideas for a choir rehearsal let me know. Update: 9/1/2014 - It seems there was a typo in my first edition of the vocal warm-ups and since I lost the original file, I redid it. So hopefully everyone likes the new version. ![]()
So while making the Suffix version of the Little Blue Men file folder game I noticed that in my prefix version I had completely forgotten to make words for one of the prefixes. How embarrassing. So for all of you who have downloaded the previous version, please download it again. I will be letting these games be available for free until next Monday when I will combine the games and put them up for sale on this site. The free giveaway is over. You can purchase this game here at File Folder - Printables page.
If you liked the Little Blue Men from Space prefixes your going to love this new version with suffixes. Just like before students need to help the little blue men learn about our language by matching words with suffixes to create longer and more complex words. The download includes a playing mat, title, pieces pouch, playing cards, and a recording sheet.
Note: To those that have already downloaded the prefixes version I've discovered some mistakes and am fixing them now. When I've finished I will repost the updated version and will ask that you download it again. The free giveaway is over. You can purchase the game at the file folder - printables page. Little Blue Men are coming to earth and are trying to learn English. They already learned some prefixes and they've sent out scouts to collect words. Your students job is to match root words to a prefixes, then record their observations on a recording sheet. (Note: I'm using root word here to mean any word that a prefix can be added to, not the smallest unit of meaning. I'm doing this to have students focus on the prefix and its meaning.)
The free giveaway is over. To purchase this game or see other great file folder games visit the File-Folder - printables page. Aliens are coming to visit Earth and Mars in this fun addition game. ![]() To play students roll the dice and cover a number on their planet. When a student has covered the entire planet they win!
