To accompany the file folder sight word games I'm creating a few mini-books. The first one is out and finished. Children can learn their shapes while practicing reading the sight words, "the, on, is." The book has a predictable pattern and is great for emergent readers. When printing the book choose booklet layout in the printing options and print on both sides. This will create a four page booklet from a single sheet.
Pumpkin Patch math helps students learn their addition facts. They will need to only color the pumpkins whose sum equals 10. A great extra activity for Halloween.
Pigpen file-folderHave your students practice the short i and e sounds with this fun file folder game. The game has students sort CVC words into the correct area. Words that have a "short i" sound go on the "pig." Words that have a "short e" sound go on the "pen." After you're done you have an easy place to store all of the pigs when you put them into the pocket. You can download your free file by clicking the link below.
